Beedi !!

  1. I have had the fortune of interacting with you a lot. My best memories with you are of our enthusiastic hogging of the paranthas that VP's mother sent with him every time he went home. Remember how we wouldn't let him eat anything!!
I will always miss those days with you.

I love the way you have groomed yourself in the past two years here at IWSB. You are a new man today. I was so impressed with the way you spoke to Ravi Sharma. Well! the long hours that you spent studying while i did everything possible to disturb you with my constant teasing are finally paying off. :)

I am thankful to you most for those days at MBGH when I was the most depressed and you consoled me. I blamed myself for everything that went wrong and you told me that I wasn't to be blamed. I will always remember you as the friend who cared, who was there for me when I needed a friend the most. I hope our paths cross in the future as well. You can count on me to be there for you when ever you need me. All you need to do is call.

I pray for you to do well in life and be happy.

    Love
    Vibha

  5. I have lot of unforgettable experience with you. Even you are the guy with whom i have spend my maximum time in IWSB. We shared our sorrow and happiness together.
When I started to write about you, i was puzzled what to write and what to not because i have a lot to write about you. These are the some but not the only unforgettable moments with you.

    1) When my friend visited first time to our hostel we all three were going to the Ansal. You were driving the bike and bike got slipped and she(my friend) was lying on the road. I was confused whether i should laugh or cry on you. I was feared that she is going to kill me. Nevertheless, After that day i always fear to sit behind you on bike.

    2) you are one of the members of group with whom i started my work in IWSB. Extremely nervous but you encouraged me, i think i would not have reach to that level without friends like you. We enjoyed those sleepless night and fight of Gautam & Jaydeep.

    3) Our visit to Mirzapur on rural project. I remembered very well how you and Vijay started crying as we reached at the NGO's Center. Night without light and room without curtains & windows. my new name that you and Navdeep gifted to me(Pi..) Eating the guava from Bag and spending lots of time on campfire. Experience of having bati choka and the bear party on last night in hotel opposite to station in Mirzapur.

    4) Preparing the poem on life@IWSB and reciting it with you in the cultural events.

    5) Our Friday night parties in AWHO. Our dance after putting off our all clothes except underwear.

  9. I still remember the day in Bhimtal when u get the first break in our gr8 bhaskar da's play. The character in that play was so strong that u got a new name "Beedi". Wishing u best of luck......issi baat par beedi jalailo

  11. Like most others, I would remember Anuj by his nickname ‘Beedi’. Such was the impact of his character in Bhaskar’s play at Bhimtal that the name has become synonymous of him and I am sure it is going to stick with him for his lifetime. Not many can immortalize a character like this. May be Anuj you can commercialize this aspect of yours and start charging a beedi company for a live and moving endorsement that you have been. Lagta hai mere andar Surya ki aatma aa gayi hai… I am trying to crack some unassuming jokes…hahahahaha. But then a post on Beedi deserves some bakwaas.

Another interesting moment with Anuj ironically belongs to the same genre – another play directed by our own Bhaskar. This play has the potential of going down the memoirs as THE play of IWSB. Anuj was playing a role modeled on Gabbar Singh and he was trying to sing, dance and whip around on stage and unassumingly he literally whipped someone. I was again part of that play and believe me none of the characters had an iota of an idea what they were doing or what they were supposed to do next. It was completely impromptu. A total fiasco on stage. I hope you remember that Anuj.

On a serious note Anuj, you will always stay alive in the hearts of your friends as a lively and spirited guy. And yes also for your warm smile. Keep that up and life will be a tad easier than it is. Signing off

  13. I can talk endlessly about Anuj, as he has been a pillar of immense strength for me at IWSB.

First day at Hostel I took the roommates list from Mr. Bhatia at MBGH and the name found as my roommate was something called Anuj Gaur.

He decided to come a few days late and I decided to ruin every aspect of mine, though completely unaware where I was heading to.

Anuj helped me to come out of that in every sense, and then to develop a confidence to take things head-on and eye to eye.

He is a brother who have a very brave heart and love to be their for friends, at any cost.
    memories are countless:-

    1. We use to laugh endlessly till dawn in our group works, specially when Jaydeep use to work while sleeping, well nothing can replace that amazingly warm time.

    2. When you Kapil and me use to sail uphill(undoubtably even today we do) and use to have ruthless discussion's about our individual vulnerabilities, thats something which is a treasure for thought for lifetime.

    3. Birthday celebrations of ..specially Kartik when you and VP were locked in the bathroom for 2 hours at midnight and Kartik was waiting outside with all his cake on his face and bucket of chilled water in hand.

    4. Your exclusive style of humor, specially the way you speak ordinary lines in a very special way, it use to amuse beyond boundaries.

    5. When VP sir use to teach us special ways to impress a girl(specially that patented formula of his..yeah that one..!!) and we use to project an extremely serious and curious face, but a laugh riot use to follow, which use to offend our very own VP.

    6. The ever unforgettable Friday night parties of AWHO which were undoubtably the most special times I had here and would love to take along.

    7. Our rural project at Mirzapur, and a cricket match of you and me against Kapil and Vijay where Kapil and Vijay kept on bowling for hours for one wicket...lol. The party outside station, and bonfire nights there which use to last till dawn. Kapil ji kaa Disco uncle ko apnaa haal chaal sunana and Disco uncle kaa coffee banaa key lana... Sala kamaal time tha yaar badaa yaad aayega Disco bhi.

    8. Our late night TT encounters here at RCI where you use to lose and cry every single time, well GURU JI THODA GAME PEY DHYAAN DO...!!! haan wanhaa pey KK ka missile maarnaa aur tera usey game sikhana... ultimate moments of TT table.

    9. Yeah..!!! thank-you brother for allowing me to be a friend of you and being a true friend always. you will always be engraved deep in heart and brain.

I wish you will grow beyond everyone thinks and will remain as warm as you ever was and are.
I can never forget our discussion of how to differentiate personal life from professional one.

God bless you and help you enjoy the never ending journey of discovering, I will be along somewhere too.
    Take care.
    ENDY.
