Arif Hassan

  1. "Adif" Hassan ;) is a man of few words and many kicks. It is a crazy distinction to make, but i feel Arif is a really mature guy but not exactly an adult. His antics resemble those of a meticulous & responsible schoolboy who takes his studies very seriously. This guy does not have a shred of conceit or malice, and i think this separates him from that majority of insecure flock.

apni hindi suddhar Sale Pagal Mallu...

God's best creation ever from God's Own Country.

Never seen a guy better at heart than this Mallu brother of mine. He is a rare species, on the verge of extinction. People like Arif are not found anymore. Respects friendship like not many other people do and all these things make him a Darling Brother.

    Keep Rocking Brother!!

(Guys and Gals, flood his post, he is taking care of ur placements ;)

  3. Arif Hassan....saw him for the first time at Pune CL centre....I almost lost the seat at this college because I could not defend the question related to u...

now that we are about to leave....I m still scared of u though the degree has come down, trust you, n know that u'll be there when I'll need n wanna say that i'll be there as well if ever I could be of some help to u...n yes m going to miss "CHUP SAALE"

  5. Arif,

You have been a wonderful team mate. OUTREACH and IWSB video related assignments are a case in point. You have been assertive and persuasive with elan.

I am sure you will do fulfilling things in life. All the very best!!

I am at the IWSB selection process venue and managed to crack into a wi-fi connection. Couldn't resist posting this!!!!

You allowed us little time to make sweet memories with you, as out of two, you were sleeping for almost a year!
One thing that I remember distinctly about this guy is the way he used to sit with his legs wide open (apologies for the choice of words) while using his laptop!
On a serious note I was spellbound to see his determination when the second year placement cell started working (and this is not a linkedin reco)
He was the right South Indian flavour that the diverse Club-IWSB needed, although I still wish he should have worn a ‘lungi’ at college.
More importantly we will always be thankful to him for he gave us the IWSB anthem!

  8. Mr. Hassan is one complex individual. We started off with him not showing up for the first day at the hostel. I was delighted that I don't have a roommate, and then he shows up the next day and does a 'Te Te Tara Te Te Tai' over my miserable little dream of not having to share that damn room. On our way back after class I realised that he's my roommate and said to myself 'Kya B@$%!&^$@!'
Things, of course, changed later on with the way things unfolded and we went on to become fairly decent friends. Sure, we cannot work with each other even if it means one of us dying quite simply because of our different styles or whatever the reason, but we've done some good work together, be it the legen - wait for it - dary Tata Steel project or Outreach.
I hope you find someone who can tolerate you, you crazy, crazy sleep-addict!
And this guy's like a child btw, don't go on face value! :)

  9. One aspect that is praiseworthy about you, is your attitude.I have seen u work selflessly and untiringly for a number of causes , the most prominent one being for the placements. It is this character of yours that would make you reach great heights in the future.

  10. Arif Hassan - a man of few words and a lot of ACTION. Determined, opinionated, enthusiastic, vivacious……the list continues. With Arif, I can just sit around and do nothing, say nothing and yet after some time feel completely rejuvenated as if I had been through zephyr. That’s FRIENDSHIP.

So many memorable moments with Arif - those countless trips to the by-lanes of Dariya Gunj and Nizamuddin (Abhilash, Arif and I were completely crazy about DIL n KABAB at Kareem’s and could travel all the way to Delhi specifically for this), the stays at his place in Delhi, idling around in a ghostly vacant hostel during the initial days of summer internship and his penchant for kid gloving at GIP…..there is so much more to share that a few lines would not suffice.

A piece of advice Arif – start trusting others a little more and try to understand different perspectives, you will suddenly mature as a team player. And yes a word of caution to all the perverts - Do not fool around with Arif, he can put you in place with one ‘CHUP SAALE’.

    Go conquer the world GOLIATH!

    “May marega terko” ;)

But you really are a baccha…

Yaar there are thousand memories, ten thousand thoughts, twenty thousand feelings and twenty five thousand moments that we have shared together so please don’t expect me to write anything about that… and THE important part is that you are important and special for me and you should be thankful to god for that ;)

But I must say that I love the way you care for me… Please be the same buddhu baccha for me...always.. :)

    Luv U ZooZoo

  12. The sound of the kicks that you bestowed on Varun,MS and numerous other unfortunate souls still echo in my ears!
I still remember that furious outburst with the bat during IWPL.
As rightly said by Asad a man of few words and a lot of action! This Mallu brother means serious business.
Has single handedly run the entire show at IWSB.
Remember my joke of IWSB hiring you? lol
    Shall always cherish your friendship!
    Wish you the best always!

  15. Well Arif for me is a Cricketer brother, He is someone who can hit the cricket ball way harder then anyone, to the longer distances then anyone at IWSB, and by far the best athlete in IWSB.

I think his core cricketing and athletic skills also visible in his work where he is a great team player, aggressive towards work and unconditionally committed.

Now the memory's with Arif are many like:-

1). Hitting those four sixes on the last four ball of the innings, that was unarguably the most destructive and elegant hitting of IWPL, sorry for the bowler though ;-)

2). Taking me out from two potentially aggressive situations, one at IWPL-1 and second at MBGH, I was bound to over float both times, Thanx bro for being there.

3). You remember our seats on the first row, well we spent the whole of first year in that row and that is something which is etched in the memory lane forever.

4). Listening "Humein tum sey pyar hai kitna" in your mallu touch on cultural evening, that was special, and a change from your and Vivek's Jugalbandi on that mallu hit.

well bro you are also by far the most protective guy I have seen so far, someone who is extremely sensitive to protect the weakest if you have faith in what you are doing is right, then you will go to any limit to protect him.

    "Aisa kya....!!!!!"

So, after all this I would say you deserve the very best things in life, I know we will be in contact forever. God bless you.

    Take care.

    Endy

  18. If given an opportunity to select the best student of IWSB batch 2010, without a second thought I will select Mr.Arif Hassan (announcing without any bias), which doesn’t require any justification, the reasons are so many ! Best in acads, sports, and student’s activities: cultural, placements outreach…

You got the best physique in the entire class (for which am jealous). Remember our sprint/100mtr race is still pending but I still believe you can’t beat the CL Olympic champion.

No one can forget the big birthday bombs they received as blessings on the eve of their birthdays from the holy feet of Arif (Chup sale!). You are the one who wants to enjoy the most but never laughs …just smiles without showing teeth (that’s typical Arif’s way of expressing happiness, everyone who knows him well can easily make out)

On a personal front, I regret why I didn’t worked with you as a team from the very beginning. It was only after working with you I realised ‘how to work best & still have fun’ and get the best results.
Remember, it always works well when we both were together (Ref. our last meeting with Mr.Sahney, HR assignments...Etc)

You are a wonderful team player and a nice friend, I enjoy your company.
You are one of the few people whom I can truly trust upon.

Needless to say...We will be in touch for ever. Till the people in Kerela celebrates that boat festival with the song Ta te tara.. te… tum…… tara.. rum…pum..te ..tea…rum.. rum..Whisky beer..te te tea..te te tara....

Dear you are the best and truly deserve the best in life.

    With love & luck

  19. Hi Arif,
The saviour of all IWSBians is what you are. Simple, honest and straight forward. Its been great knowing you and I hope to know you further in the days to come. One trait of yours I have come across in the recent past is your unbelievable selflessness. I haven't seen another person who is so dedicated to a cause with no personal gains in mind what so ever. Way to go dude!! I wish for a happy and fulfilling life for you. I think because both of us are introverts at the core, neither made the first effort to get to know each other. But I would like to change that in the future.

    Love
    Vibha

  20. Hey Arif,
One thing I would like to clarify is that I could never understand the way you have worked and thats why we had those disagreements when we worked together. However, I feel those disagreements were important for us to know each other a little better. For me you're like a one man army. Sometimes I feel you are going to make everything redundant when most of those are people driven. I guess that's why you have always wanted to be in the back-end of the scheme of things.
But I seriously believe that without your dedication and efforts a lot of those things we were able to achieve in the last couple of years in this institute would not have been possible.
So, tiger, I've got four words for you, "GO CONQUER THE WORLD".
    Will always be in touch,
    Abhilash.
