Bhaskar Bhattacharya

Director in Action !!

  1. Bhaskar Bhattacharya, better known as the drama king of the batch has one of my closest friends here at iwsb. He's someone I can completely trust upon.Although, he's perceived on his antics and face value, but for his friends he's one of the most mature guys who delivers the message with profound clarity, whether the issue is relationships or behavior. Is somewhat possessive about his friends, but will stand beside them in their hour of distress.A bundle of contradictions, he traverses between being cranky and being pragmatic, all at the same time. The following lines will shed some light on this.
Hasn't written a single original script, but declares himself as a playwright cum director. In fact most of his plays are poor rehashes of contemporary bollywood films. Is most comfortable wearing his pink knickers and keeping his room unkempt, but will take 2 hrs to groom himself.Doesn't allow me to listen to Rock Music, terming them "Angreji Gaane" but will sit beside me and quitely appreciate Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" when I play the same.
Won't spend on some bare necessities but will splurge lavishly on grooming products. Will offer me half of his tea and will smoke half of my cigarette.
He's this and much more for me.His is a friendship I'll cherish forever. As they say, the wine gets better and better with the aging. So also will friendship be further strengthed with the passage of time.
    Your Dear Friend

  2. well here come another B king, after Raktabh. Being with Bhaskar is ecstatic. I have heard him eulogizing most often about his artistic, direction and stuff, but never had the opportunity to see any of his performances but heard about a stage play debacle with lots of spices added to it. U have him at Vinod's point or at food, u forget all your sorrows, workload and anything that you have on your mind. He has something or the other about anything in this universe, involving all those things that he himself has nt heard of ever. But Bhaskar being with you is fun and we will really miss you. In short, Being Bhaskar rocks.

  3. There are 2 things that are difficult to forget about you aka BABUA!!! -
    - ur 'niche' plays , although they are big time flops
    - ur high pitched laughter (most of the time I laugh at the way u laugh, rather than to your jokes)
nevertheless u will always remain the BABUA of the class...

  8. Well "BABUA" is great guy to be with. Specially his dialogue " Nachaa dengey Som" is unforgettable... and nachwaaya to kya gajab nachwayaa dada tuney..... Methews kaa to career hi khatam ho gaya...ab dobara dawaayi bechney ki soch raha hai..!!!!

Well seriously speaking Bhaskar is the one of the few who have done less of talking and more of action what... "MAGIC" is another example....!!!

His fashion show star cast was deadly, but the show was postponed in the end... still waiting for that.

Bro you have a definite courage to go about things and we have all seen it in these two years...and i agree your thunderous laugh always makes me laugh madly.

Have a great career full of creativity bro... U rockzzzzz.....!!!

    Take care

    Endy

  9. Everybody at IWSB can vouch for Bhaskar’s histrionics and his love for theatre, notwithstanding the fact that his love has cost many a promising career. Who can forget the infamous theatrical version of DDLJ which probably cost IWSB a few admissions and gave Shom a few skips at his heart beat? Can we ever forget his power packed presentations backed by filmy ishtyle???? I guess no one can. Nevertheless, Bhaskar dadda ki baat hi kuchh aur hai.

Bhaskar and I were flat mates in 1st year at MBGH and I am sure we carry many memorable and nostalgic moments from those days – his seamless laughter & the initial concern for studies, Dev’s dance (pappu can’t dance saala), Poli’s passion for Vodka (remember how Poli gave Shom a few anxious moments on Sameer’s birthday…...Piyush ke saath velagiri (Noida jana sirf ek ice-cream ke liye wo bhi raat ke 2 baje), Harish ka twitter aur apne aap mein busy rehna aur Sameer ka Ghajini look……..all that and much more would go down the memory lane and add to the sweetness of my stay at IWSB.

You have been like a younger brother Bhaskar. I appreciate and value all the love and respect that you carry in your heart for me. Catch hold of me anytime, anywhere and for anything and do it with a certain non-challance that a younger brother shows to his elder one. I would appreciate that.

    Loads of love and wishes,

    Asad

  11. Bhaskar! my dear friend I love you.
You are one of the few people who I think understands and cares me. I had lot of memories with you, and wish that many more are yet to come.
No one can forget the play that we presented for the prosperous students of IWSB which drives everyone crazy. I was fortunate enough to assist you as the assistant director of that play. Yaar wo play me bahut maja aya, aur jo baat ush play me thi aur kabhi nahi ho sakti. That play was for all the actors of “Simran ke Saadi”. You made everyone to dance in your musical drama. You are simply the great Bhaskar da.
Bhai, you are very true at heart and a very good friend of mine. You always supported me and given me a title of a Neta/Leader for anything and everything. If you are with me I am going to win any election.
I am a big fan of your laughing style: HA HA HA. Bhai tu Raven ke role ke liye fit hai. Hope you remember your dream role of Ravana which we made in the play during “E-Week” and the priest (Pratik) gets a laptop with his divine power along with the music ‘Tanggg’.
I cannot forget the night before we were fighting for submitting the assignment of “Pizza Hut” and the google was helping us with ‘Pakola’.
The day when we went to Delhi and every-time we clicked photo, you were looking somewhere else (watching sexy foreigners).
The time spent with you will always remain memorable and nostalgic. I will always respect the love and care you gave to me. I wish you a great life ahead.
We will be in touch forever
    Love
    Your Neta…Krishna Kant
